About us

At Fortitude Academy, we believe curiosity is the answer to life, the universe, and almost everything. We create spaces where children tinker, explore, and discover the magic hidden inside everyday ideas — turning small sparks of interest into big leaps of confidence.

Our philosophy

At Fortitude Academy, we recognise that children are growing up in a world that is already being shaped by digital systems, tools, and ideas.

Rather than focusing on specific technologies, we focus on how children think, adapt, and respond to change — building curiosity, resilience, and confidence along the way.

Where it all began

Fortitude Academy started with a simple question from a group of parents who wanted something more meaningful than the usual after-school options.
We wanted a space where children could build teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while having fun. From that idea grew a club where digital skills feel like play; where creativity, and life skills blend into playful learning that builds confidence.

Who's behind it

Fortitude Academy is led by an educator and digital skills specialist, supported by a small circle of like-minded parents from diverse professional backgrounds, including education, healthcare, finance, and aviation.

Together we form a sort of friendly think-tank dedicated to helping children make sense of a world that insists on changing its settings every few minutes. Each member brings their own expertise, blending knowledge with imagination to create learning that’s hands-on, playful, and just the right amount of wonderfully curious.

How we learn

Our sessions are designed for children aged 8 to 11, with every activity rooted in curiosity, discovery, and teamwork.

Children explore ideas through hands-on challenges, breaking them down, testing possibilities, and learning how to work things out together. The emphasis is on engagement, persistence, and growing confidence through play.
